Our original order of chicks finally arrived via USPS and they were worth the wait!
1 Black Jersey Giant, 3 Barred Plymouth Rock, 3 Buff Orpington, 3 Australorp, 3 Easter Eggers, 3 Golden Laced Wyandotte
We will give some to friends and family, but we are keeping 8 or so. That will bring our chicken tally from 24 to 11. Oddly, 11 chickens doesn't seem like very many to me anymore. In fact, I am starting to plot about the next animals we could host here.
Everyone should see sleeping chicks at some point in their lives, I swear they will be happier people.
