Today we received 5 baby Red Star hens via USPS. We had actually ordered a custom variety of 16 baby heirloom hens from http://www.mypetchicken/.com, but receieved these instead. And, since they can only be sent during their first 24 hours of life we will raise these an sell them once they are old enough. 
A clean butt (below) is the sign of a happy chick and a happy Taylor. Chick-butt duty is a serious chore. If they're butts get crusted with poo we have to unclog them or they can die.
